The questions expect students to compare how two authors treat the same topic, evaluate whether an argument is well supported, and trace how ideas develop across a text.
ODEW reports the English test in three strands — Reading Informational Text, Reading Literary Text, and Writing — with two writing prompts and a maximum raw score of 61 points in 2026.
