Grade 8 sits the Cadet paper, shared with grade 7 and 8. Below are five full papers at that level: 50 questions, 60 minutes, 60 marks, with the last 5 worth 3 marks each.
At Cadet level the problems get longer and the wrong answers get more tempting. Number work, ratio, area and simple counting arguments all appear, and the final questions reward noticing a shortcut rather than grinding through the arithmetic.
