Grade 4 sits the Ecolier paper, shared with grade 3 and 4. Below are five full papers at that level: 35 questions, 60 minutes, 40 marks, with the last 5 worth 2 marks each.
At Ecolier level the arithmetic stays small on purpose. What decides the score is reading a picture carefully, spotting a pattern, and not falling for the answer that comes from one plausible mistake. Our junior papers are built the same way: one question in four carries a picture, because at this age the picture often is the question.
These are our own hand-written papers rather than past Kangaroo papers, built on the SOF olympiad blueprint. For official past papers and registration, see mathkangaroo.org.
