An AI math tutor
that finds the missing step

Ms. Emma teaches math out loud with every step on her board, has your child try one, and when something does not click she explains it another way.

Quick answer

What is the best way for an AI math tutor to help a child?

Teach one step at a time, have the child try each step, and find the exact step where things went wrong instead of showing the answer. iMasterly's Ms. Emma does this out loud for grades K-8, and she can explain the same idea five ways (Singapore, Vedic, Russian, abacus and olympiad) until one clicks.

How a math session goes

Start from what your child knows

Ms. Emma asks before she explains, so the lesson begins at the right step.

One step at a time, out loud

Every step goes up on her board as she talks it through.

Your child tries one

She waits while your child thinks, then looks at how they got there, not just the answer.

Wrong answers get a why

She shows why a wrong answer is wrong, then teaches the idea another way.

Questions parents ask

What does an AI math tutor do?
It teaches one math step at a time, has your child try each step, and explains it again in a different way when your child gets stuck. A good one does not just show the answer: it finds the exact step where your child went wrong.
What grades of math does iMasterly cover?
Kindergarten through 8th grade, from counting and place value through fractions, ratios, equations and the start of algebra, plus homework help and practice built to more than 30 state tests.
My child is behind in math. Can an AI tutor help?
It can help a lot, because it goes back to the missing step instead of pushing ahead. In our early cohort, children who started below grade level gained 23 points on average. These are early numbers from our own data, not a large-scale study.
Will it just give my child the answers?
No. Ms. Emma asks your child to try each step. When an answer is wrong, she shows why and explains the idea another way.
What are the five ways to learn the same math?
Singapore math draws the problem first. Vedic math works crosswise in one line. Russian math solves one problem many ways. Abacus lets your child see the number move. Olympiad problems are worth wrestling with. The method that finally clicks is different for every child.
Can it help with math homework from school?
Yes. Homework from the teacher waits in Classroom, and when your child gets one wrong, Ms. Emma shows why.

Math that finally clicks.

A patient AI math tutor for grades K-8.
